The Township of Brock has traditionally been a hunting and fishing ground for First Nations people. We reside on and benefit from the Williams Treaty Territories, on the land of the Mississaugas and Chippewas. Jamie Schmale, MP, Haliburton-Kawartha Lakes-Brock, presented the King Charles III Coronation Medals in the past week to five Brock recipients recognizing their dedicated and significant contributions to their community: Bill Basztyk former Mayor John Grant Ken Alsop Rick DeJong Ted Foster Christine Dukelow received the King Charles III Coronation Medal in November 2024 from the Honourable Rob Black, for her service in promoting agriculture, education, youth development and public service. Regional Works is reviewing the possibility of an advanced green light on Highway 12 north, Beaverton.
